PUT A EGG ON IT #12 + DINER JOURNAL #32 + FBF2016

We had a wonderful evening at Achilles Heel in Greenpoint celebrating the release of our 12th issue with our longtime friends at Diner Journal and the Food Book Fair, who were also kicking off their 32nd issue and 5th festival respectively. The spring evening was cool, but not too cool for a crisp rosé, which tasted great with the lamb Chef Lee desRosiers spent all day roasting for the party. He served the side dishes in a fish tin as a nod to our own recipe theme: Canned Fish! 

Millicent Souris read from her work in the new issue of Diner Journal about an island in the Adirondacks upstate. Diner Journal's editor Anna Dunn and I toasted to our years of magazine friendship while Reverend Vince Anderson joined Millicent at the turntables and gave us something to dance to. All in all, a magical evening, and we can't wait to share the new issue with the rest of the world. We made it to #12, you guys! One dozen eggs!
